どうしてこうなるのか？
「３０人それぞれ性別、年齢、身分、素性などすべて異なります。
30 people, all of different genders, ages, body types and personalities.
もしかしたら、あなたの知っている方が仮面を付けているかもしれません。」
May there is even someone you know behind a mask.
正体を想像する楽しさは言葉では説明しにくいけど、目の前に立ってみるとわかります。
It's difficult to describe how much fun there is to be found in guessing at the identities
of the masked models, but I assure you it is!
この上手く撮った白黒写真を見ると、表情や色がなくても
物語を読めます。
You can read the stories told by these beautifully taken pictures,
and they don't even have a need for color or facial expressions.
照明や背景、マスクデザイン、手に入り方などの要素が組み合わせて、
見る者に次々と疑問を持たせます。
Lighting and backgrounds, the style of the masks and the way they're held by their models
all combines in a barrage of questions for you.
何故このマスクは半分しかないか？何故あの植物、何故あの壁？
Why is that one a half mask? Why that plant, why that wall?
ちょっと個人的なんですけど、文書書くのが好きで、
Masquerade展示の写真１枚を見ると
１００ページ以上本を書ける気持ちがあります。
フルカラーの日常写真１００枚の美しさが
この展示の白黒写真１枚と匹敵する質量を持っているようです。
This is kind of a personal thing, but I love writing, and I could write a story over 100 pages long about
any one of these photographs.
The beauty of a hundred full-color, everyday photographs could never compare to the beauty of
just one of the black and white photos from this exhibition.

The pictures seen here that I've taken of Kaz's pictures do not do them any justice,
so I cannot recommend coming to see them in person enough,
and seeing all of Kaz's inspiring black and white stories!
