これは、本当に手描きなのか？と疑ってしまう。
Artist So Terada's world is unlike anyone else's.
Is this all really hand drawn!?
本当です。手書きです。
Yes, yes it is hand drawn.
素敵で綺麗な線の中に、小さな絵が沢山詰まっています。
その絵の中にはもっと小さいな絵がある。この連鎖はどこまで続くのでしょう？
Inside these beautiful, clean lines are smaller illustrations than anyone would think possible.
And inside those, even more. Where does it end?
答えは「止まらない」です！
It doesn't!
お魚さん、ゴリラさん、猫さん、ワニさん、傘、等
見返す度に、もっと小さいな、もっと可愛い、もっと素晴らしい物が見えてくる。
Fish, a gorilla, a cat, an alligator, an umbrella, etc etc etc.
Every time you look there are smaller, cuter and more impressive things to see.
続いて、違ったテイストの絵をご紹介致します。
先程の作品とは異なる印象を受けます。
Even just looking at them as normal pictures, they're impressive.
色からモチーフまで、構成やコンセプトに対する創意工夫。
そして、より近づいて見てみると。。。
The colors and motifs, composition and concept are all fantastic.
And then you zoom in, and...
想像を超えた寺田さんのデザインがそこにありました。
More amazing design than is even imaginable!
寺田さんは目で受け取る視覚情報の可能性を
広げることができるアーティストではないでしょうか。
Mr. Terada is truly a master of "more than meets than eye"!
人間の手はこんなに小さく、精密に描けるものなんですね。
I didn't know that human hands can draw this tiny.
今回、このようなアイディア/才能が一人のアーティストから
発掘できるとは、思いもしませんでした。
作品を拝見しつつも、勉強させて頂きました。
I didn't even know that ideas and talent like this could be found inside a single person.
I have definitely learned something on this day.
本日、寺田さんが来場者様さんから頻繁に受け取ったコメントは
「ちっちゃい！細かい！すごい！」
という言葉だったそうです。
The most common reactions the artists has received from visitors today are
"So tiny! How detailed! Amazing!"
本当にすごい作品です。
１枚の絵を見続けているだけで、１日が終わってしまうかもしれない。
And it's all true.
You could spend an entire day looking at a single image.
全てのキャラクターの性格は外見に色濃く反映されています。
ぱっと見た瞬間に「あ、これはこんなキャラクターだな！」って予想できてしまう。
And all his characters have such clear personalities!
これらの作品は時間や努力を投資することで出来上がった美術なのです。
This is definitely not idle work. This is art that has been accomplished following a significant investment of time and effort.
この展示会は素晴らしく面白く、かつ、楽しく、感動することが出来る。
見逃して欲しくない展示です。
It would be truly terrible for anyone to miss out on this wonderful, hilarious delightful and impressive exhibition.
