ZINEを取り扱った企画展を開催致します。

その名も・・・

DFG TRIAL “ ZINETEN ”

出展料金１点につき ¥1,000- 

絵画、イラスト、コラージュ、版画、写真、詩、小説、などなど、

紙に落とし込めるものならジャンル問わずに発信出来るZINE。

皆様のこだわりや情熱、ときには怠惰や劣情なんかを詰め込んだ

オリジナルのZINEを展示してみませんか？

Q. そもそも、ZINEって何？

A. 出版社などから出ている本ではなく、個人的に制作したり、商業的ではない小冊子のことを指します。

家庭やコンビニでコピーして何枚かまとめてホッチキスで止めたものも立派なZINEです。

豆本や、フリーペーパーなどもZINEと呼べます。

構成やデザイン、製本に至るまで全て自分で行えるという面白さがウリです。

Dear writers of the world: thanks for waiting.

Here at the Design Festa Gallery, we’re launching a new gallery project.

a magazine exhibition called...

DFG TRIAL “ ZINETEN ”

participation fee: 1,000 yen per display piece

Paintings, illustrations, collages, engravings, pictures, poems, novels, etc, etc,

anything paper-based that we can make a magazine out of, regardless of genre.

A magazine packed full of everyone’s feelings and passion, and especially their laziness and lusts.

Make an original magazine for us?

Q. What’s a ‘zine’?

It’s what we’re calling little booklets made up of pure personality, not manufactured by a publisher.

Elegant little collections stapled together and found readily in homes, convenience stores and coffee shops.

Miniature books and free newspapers can be zines, too.

Tidy and sharply designed, the fun and fascination of this project is 

in how everything from the content to the binding is purely you.

We’re readily awaiting your submissions!

Details

Tuesday, September 9th, 2013 to Monday, September 16th

11am to 8pm daily (final day ends at 7pm).

1,000 yen per display piece, groups or individuals

Work limited to that which is original and fits the projects theme.

Applying

 Submitted work must be able to remain on display for the entire week of the exhibition.

Registration Period

Until 8pm on Saturday, August 24th, 2013.

 Submission Period

Until Saturday, September 7th, 2013

How to Apply

Applications accepted online and in person.

 Please click here for the online application, and select 「artpiece WEST TRIAL」 and set September 10th to September 16th as the time period.

 In the remarks column, please write “ZINETEN”.

*In the event you are submitting multiple pieces, please list the amount in the remarks column as well, or it will be assumed you are submitting a single piece.

Terms and Conditions

The show room in which the exhibition is to be held will be announced
on the official gallery blog the day before the start date.

 Up to ten pieces of the same series of work accepted, excluding samples.

*Pieces must be smaller than 8.5'' x 11''

Gallery staff will arrange the exhibition on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013.

 Work must be cleaned up and removed on Monday, September 16th.

Profits from sold goods must be passed on to the artist in person on the last day of the exhibition
and cannot be sent by mail.

The gallery will store artwork that is not picked up on September 16th on behalf of the artist until September 23th, 2013.

 Please contact us in advance if you will not be able to collect your work by September 23th.
