カリブから来たファッションデザイナーのNathaly(ナタリー)さんによる日本での初個展が開催されています。
日本の旅からインスピレーションを得て創られた、
和と洋を融合された新たなアバンギャルドな世界観を覗いてみませんか。
ZZUNSはファッションデザイナーのナタリー・ペーターさんにより立ち上げられたファッションブランドです。
カリブで生まれ育ち、16歳からオランダに渡り、アートを学んでいたそう。
2010年に立ち上げられた「ZZUNS」というブランド名は、
キューバにあるハチドリの名前「Zunzuncito」からインスピレーションを受けたといいます。
ハチドリのように、活発でカラフルで遊びこごろがたっぷりなイメージでデザインされた作品が特徴的です。2010年から写真家とともに多数の舞台衣装やファッションイベントを繰り広げ、ファッション雑誌にも掲載されているそうです。
右側の壁に貼られているのは、オランダを拠点とした写真家のティルサ・ナイウェニングさんとの共同制作作品となります。
日本の文化や伝統に魅了されたティルサさんとナタリーさんのコラボレーションからは、
それぞれの日本旅行での思い出と日本への愛情が込められているように感じます。
今回のテーマは「L’Hommage」（オマージュ）。
主にナタリーさんが日本への敬意を込めた、日本の伝統の要素を取り入れたコレクション展示会となります。
「ボロ」という、すなわち使い古しの布を無駄にせずに広く集め、繋ぎ合わせられたひとつひとつの布は美しく、新しい命を与える表現となります。
一見ヨーロッパ風の洋服ですが、着物の要素が取り入れられ、強くてパワーが感じられる、異国情緒溢れる装いとなります。
カタログはとにかく格好いい、おしゃれ！
会期中ナタリーさん（一番右側）が在廊されています。

ZZUNS is a fashion brand established by Nathaly Pater. She was born and raised in the Caribbean, on the beautiful island Curacao. As a child she was always interested in art. Drawing everything that caught her attention. At the age of 16 she moved to The Netherlands where she finished her education. ZZUNS represent women who are strong and confident, unafraid to be different and show off their bodies in a classy way.
ZZUNS is proud to present you the micro collection named L’Hommage. Nathaly was always passionate about Japan, and fascinated by the unique Japanese culture. The collection is inspired by Japan’s most iconic garment, the kimono. Nathaly combined this with her own Caribbean heritage and Dutch influences, and incorporate those with old ways of “boro” and “sashiko”.
This is a tribute to the multicultural world we live in. A unity of different cultural influences, but still keeping their own uniqueness. For Nathaly it’s important not to forget or neglect your heritage because it formed you as a person, but we should embrace other cultures and learn from them.
